Scared of death? Fascinated by it? All are welcome at our community conversations that span across generations, cultures, and religions. Come drink tea, nosh on homemade baked treats, and engage in a meaningful and curious conversation about death & dying! 

Conversation topics vary due to the people in the room, the mood we’re in, and the questions raised. Some conversations are more serious and contemplative, and many are full of joy and laughter!

This fall, our monthly Death Café discussion group is moving to the third Saturday of the month from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Our Grab & Grow plant cutting swap station in the library's lobby has been so popular, we are short on cuttings. If you have any houseplants you'd like to share, please bring us some cuttings. We have jars ready and waiting for them!

This month, Film School will travel back in time to the 1967 movie that changed everything in Hollywood: Bonnie and Clyde was and remains a landmark film in American history.

Join us for a screening and discussion of this must-see film for any cinephile!

Snacks welcome; popcorn provided. 

Join us for an outdoor coffee-and-pastries book discussion on the hit book and HBO series Big Little Lies, hosted in collaboration with nonprofit organization Finding Our Voices.  We will discuss female friendships, and ways to help a friend, sister, mother, or daughter who may be trapped in an unhealthy or dangerous relationship.

This discussion also comes on the heels of the August 25 release of Big Little Truths, Liane Moriarty’s long-awaited follow-up to her 2014 hit, and we will have a drawing for a free copy of the new book at this event.

As we gather statistics for library services over the past fiscal year, we thought you might like to know how our resources are being used--especially those that you haven't yet tried yourself!

This week, let's take a look at visitors to the library.

Our busiest day of the year was July 1, 2025 with a total of 387 visitors. Below are the busiest times of the day for us.

And finally, the chart below shows the average number of visitors to the library per day for the last fiscal year.

Please be aware that controlled blasting is anticipated to begin mid-week this week. Activity will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A complete schedule of projected dates and times is currently being finalized. School neighbors residing within the designated notification zone will receive direct updates as outlined in our protocols.

eShark has collected scuba divers, snorkelers, and other observations on sharks and rays from around the world!

These data have helped get sharks and rays on the endangered species list, supported smarter Shark Sanctuaries, informed species status on the RedList, and united communities around the world to track and protect sharks.

Anyone can participate in this citizen science effort.
