A New Way to Support the Library! |
While the library's operating budget comes from the Town, the wide range of programs and special resources we offer would not be possible without the support of the Thomas Memorial Library Foundation. For example, our annual Summer Reading Program materials, including reading records and incentives are made possible through support from TMLF.

This year's Summer Reading Program logo and other artwork were inspired The Locker Project, our Community Spotlight Organization, and designed by our fabulously talented Community Engagement Librarian Sasha Kohan.
You can now order totebags, mugs, t-shirts, children's apparel and more with Sasha's full color designs (as well as TMLF and TML branded merch) at the TML Foundation's Fundraising Store. All profits from the sale of these items will be benefit TMLF, which in turn will benefit TML and help us to continue to deliver outstanding programs and resources for our community!

In honor of this year’s Summer Reading Community Spotlight, The Locker Project, please join us for a special screening of Agnés Varda’s beloved documentary, The Gleaners and I. Follow Varda across France as she explores the historic and modern practice of gleaning, and learn more about one aspect of The Locker Project’s work with our own local farms!

| 4-H Program - Ice Cream Making |
Thursday, July 16
3:30 - 4:30 pm |
Participants ages 5-10 years old will learn about dairy, turn simple ingredients into creamy homemade ice cream, and get to eat their ice cream at the end of the program! |

Plan to be outside in the children's garden if the weather is nice. (Our rain location will be the Community Room.) Caregivers are required to stay for the program. Registration is required--maximum of 15 children participants. Please register on the 4-H website HERE with one registration per family. Siblings and adult caregivers do not need to register separately.

Town Seeking Vendors
for Employee Wellness Fair |
The Safety and Wellness Committee (SWC) of the Town of Cape Elizabeth is excited to host its first annual Employee Recognition Day & Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 17, 2026. |

|
|
The SWC is committed to promoting the health and well-being of our employees by maintaining safe work environments and encouraging healthy practices. We are seeking local businesses to participate in this event at Town Hall so our employees can focus on wellness for a few hours in the early afternoon.
We are looking for vendors who represent the physical, environmental, financial, occupational, emotional, social, or spiritual dimensions of wellness. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your services directly to town employees from Police, Fire & Rescue, Community Services, Library, Public Works, Facilities, and Town Hall Offices.
